Cancer Specialist A Cancer Specialist (also known as, oncologist) is a doctor who provides medical care for a person who has been diagnosed with cancer. As cancers vary in scope, nature and how they impact patients, the field of cancer treatment is further divided into several specializations. Medical oncologists treat cancers using chemotherapy, immunotherapy or using other targeted therapies. A radiation oncologist uses radiation therapy to treat cancer. A surgical oncologist removes cancer from the body using surgery. There are other types of oncologists that specialize for various patients such as pediatric oncologists that provide care in children, and Hematologist Oncologist that diagnose and treat cancers of the blood.
Dietitian Dietitians are experts in human nutrition and the regulation of diet. A dietitian works with the patient to come with a diet plan based upon their medical condition and needs. Dietitians typically work with hospitals, nursing care facilities and other health care facilities, wellness programs, public health agencies, home care agencies, health maintenance organizations, large-scale food planning and service, nursing homes, critically ill premature newborns, infants, children, and adolescents.
Hematology Oncologist Hematology oncologists (also called as, Haematology oncologists) are doctors who specialize in the cause, treatment, and prevention of diseases related to the blood and cancer. Hematology oncologists treat the diseases that affect the production of blood or its components such as anemia, hemoglobin, bone marrow, blood vessels, and blood cells. These diseases include sickle cell disease, blood clots, leukemias, iron deficiency anemia, hemophilia, thalassemias, lymphomas, and other various blood cancers.
Nutritionist A nutritionist provides guides on the matters of nutrition and food and their impacts on the health of human. There are different professional terms used for a nutritionist in different countries some of them are nutrition scientist, dietitian-nutritionist, public health nutritionist, clinical nutritionist, and sports nutritionist. Nutritionists focus on planning healthy diets. Some nutritionists also give the educational services or programs to aware the public on the strategies for healthy eating.

Pediatric Oncologist A pediatric oncologist is a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment for cancer that develops in babies, children, adolescents, and teenagers. A children's body is different than an adult's body and thus respond differently to specific treatments. A pediatric oncologist will use medications and chemotherapy to treat children with cancer instead of radiation therapy and surgery. The type of cancer that occur in children are leukemia, brain, and spinal cord tumors, bone cancer, Hodgkin's lymphoma, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, neuroblastoma, blood diseases such as hemophilia, anemia, sickle cell disease. The pediatric oncologists that specialize in hematology are called as pediatric hematologists.
Psychologist A psychologist is a medical doctor who trained in diagnosis, and treatment of a mental illness including schizophrenia, behavioral problems, learning difficulties, depression, and anxiety. Psychologists provide a wide range of treatments including psychological treatment also called psychotherapy or talking therapy, medication, behavioral, cognitive, cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, humanistic, and psychodynamic therapy. A psychologist may also use the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) criteria to diagnose the mental disease.
Surgical Oncologist A surgical oncologist is a doctor who is trained in preventing, diagnosing and treating all types of cancer. They are educated and trained in both surgery and oncology field. A surgical oncologist performs some specific medical test called biopsy for diagnosing cancer and perform certain surgeries for removing the cancerous tumor and their nearby tissue. Some of the common medical procedures performed by a surgical oncologist are imaging technology, chemical and biological therapy, and radiation therapy.
