ENT Doctor ENT doctors, also know as Otorhinolaryngologists, are doctors trained to deal with conditions of the ear, nose, and throat (ENT) and related structures of the head and neck. ENT doctors work on conditions/treatments including allergy, immunotherapy, ear infections, removal of wax or objects from the ear, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), balance disorders, dizziness, hearing loss, sinus problems, diseases of the voice box, nasal congestion, speech and swallowing disorders, sleep disorders, and surgery.
ENT Surgeon ENT surgeons are doctors trained in performing surgeries related to ear, nose and throat. This includes performing biopsies of tissue in neck or throat area, nasal septum surgery to correct the bend in the vertical wall of nose, inserting tiny tubes for ventilation and drainage in the ears, tonsillectomy for removal of tonsils and adenoids, and sinus surgery.
Endocrinologist Endocrinologists are doctors trained to work with patients having hormone-related diseases. These doctors are trained to diagnose and manage diseases that affect the glands (adrenal glands, hypothalamus, ovaries and testicles, pancreas, parathyroid, pineal, pituitary, thymus, and thyroid) and the hormones. The endocrinologist helps in restoring hormone balance in the impacted gland. As part of their work, endocrinologists commonly treat diabetes, osteoporosis, menopause, metabolic disorders, thyroid diseases, some cancers (including thyroid cancer, pituitary tumor, parathyroid cancer, and adrenocortical carcinoma), short stature, and infertility.
General Neurologist A surgeon who is dedicated in the field of neurology is called a neurologist. The neurologist treats all the disorders that are related to brain, nerves, and spinal cord including demyelinating diseases such as multiple sclerosis, cerebrovascular diseases such as stroke, disorders related to headache, infections of the brain and of peripheral nervous system, movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease, neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, disorders of seizures such as epilepsy, spinal cord disorders, speech and language disorders. Surgery is not performed by a neurologist but in case any of their patient requires surgery, they refer such patient to a neurosurgeon.
General Physician General Physicians are highly trained specialists who provide the non-surgical treatment to adult patients, particularly who are referred to them by other doctors, most commonly by the patient's general practitioner. They care for the most difficult, serious or complex medical problems and continue to see the patient until these problems have been stabilized or resolved completely. General physicians are trained to carry out a variety of medical procedures for the diagnosis and management of patients with infectious and tropical diseases like HIV, tuberculosis, Kala Azar, Malaria, Cholera, and Diarrhea. They also undertake the teaching and administrative responsibilities which includes supervision and training to medical staff, planning medical programs, management of hospital pharmacy, and proper monitoring of medical activities in the hospital.
General Surgeon A general surgeon is a physician who has been educated, experienced and trained in the diagnosis and preoperative, operative, and postoperative management of patient health care. They are highly trained in various medical fields such as emergency, and intensive care, immunology, metabolism, nutrition, shock, and wound healing. General surgeons basically perform surgical operations of the major parts of the human body which involves endocrine system, gastrointestinal tract, liver, large intestine. They also perform the surgeries which are done through small incisions on body parts. Some of the surgical procedures which include removal of the appendix, gallbladder and excessive fat removal from the body are also done by a general physician.
Neurosurgeon A neurosurgeon is a physician who has specialization in surgery on the brain and other parts of the nervous system. In addition to treating brain disorders through surgery, a neurologist is also experienced in tackling the conditions involving the spinal column. Neurosurgeons often work in collaboration with other doctors in the emergency room when brain or nerve trauma is suspected. They used to treat severe conditions such as congenital deformities, trauma, brain tumors, vascular disorders, infections of the brain or spine, stroke, or degenerative diseases of the spine.
Otorhinolaryngologist Otorhinolaryngologist is one of the oldest specialty of the medical field in the United States. Otorhinolaryngologists are that physicians who are trained in the medical and surgical treatment of patients with problems of the ear, nose, throat (ENT), and other related parts of the neck and head. These physicians are commonly called ENT physicians. They are expert in treating many ENT-related problems in both children and adults.
Psychiatrist A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who trained in diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental, behavioral, and emotional disorders including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, eating disorders, and substance use disorders. Psychiatrists provide a wide range of treatments including psychological treatment also called psychotherapy or talking therapy, medication, and brain stimulation therapies such as electroconvulsive therapy. Psychiatrists assess all of the mental and physical symptoms by examining mental or physical status, brain imaging such as a computerized tomography (CT), or positron emission tomography (PET) scan, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and blood testing.
Rectal Surgeon A rectal surgeon is a doctor who specializes in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of the disorders of the rectum, anus or lower digestive tract. They provide a wide variety of surgical procedures such as anal warts, anal fistulas, appendicitis, Crohn's disease surgery, diverticulitis surgery, fecal incontinence, gallstone surgery, hernia surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and small bowel resections. They usually work with a health care team that may include general practitioners, radiologists, anesthesiologists, gastroenterologists, nurses, and dietitians.
Spine Surgeon Orthopedic surgeons or spine surgeons are the professionals concerned with surgery of the musculoskeletal system. They use both surgical as well as nonsurgical means for treating musculoskeletal trauma, degenerative diseases, spine diseases, sports injuries, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders. They are Medical Doctors (MD) or Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) who have completed a five year of surgical education which focusses on the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
Surgeon A surgeon is a physician who does surgical operations. There are also surgeons in disorders of the foot, ankle and lower extremity (podiatry), dentistry and the veterinary fields. Surgeons act directly to correct deformities, illnesses, and injuries. Surgeons perform duties like recording patients medical histories and diagnosing injuries, illnesses, and other conditions. General surgeons operate on any part of the body. Various surgeons specialize, though, either on diseases like cancer or on one part of the body.
Traumatologist Traumatologist is a qualified orthopedic surgeon that specializes in treating musculoskeletal injuries. Traumatology is the study of wounds and injuries caused by accidents to a person, and the surgical treatment and repair of the damage. Traumatology is also known as accident surgery. Branches of traumatology include medical traumatology and psychological traumatology. Airway management, monitoring, and management of injuries are all key guidelines when it comes to medical trauma care. Psychological trauma normally includes some types of physical trauma that pretend as a threat to one's sense of security and survival. Psychological trauma usually leaves people feeling confused, anxious, and threatened.
